Pearl Harbor during the attack
This is the Japanese attacking Pearl Harbor, December 7th, 1941. This is the turning point of why the United States entered World War II.
Why did the Japanese attack? The attack was supposed to prevent the U.S. Pacific Fleet from interfering with the plans of the Empire of Japan. Japan wanted their military to be superior to other countries like the UK, Netherlands, and the United States.
4 out of 8 battleships were destroyed and the other 4 were extremely damaged.
350 aircraft were destroyed or damaged.

Mass murder of Jewish people begins
Starting in 1941, Adolf Hitler decided to start torturing and killing Jews, homosexuals, mentally unstable people, and gypsies. Most of the people that were killed and tortured were Jews.
Not all the German soldiers wanted to do this, but they did anything Hitler told them to out of fear that they would be murdered too.
Fact: Most people have no idea that Hitler was Jewish too.

Battle of Midway
The Battle of Midway started on June 4th, 1942.
Japanese Admiral Chuichi Nagumo wanted to finish off our "badly wounded" U.S. Navy. Surprising them with our survival methods, the United States confused Japan's strategy. The U.S. Navy took advantage of that and sunk 3 of the 4 Japanese carriers. The 4th Japanese carrier was crippled.
The battle ended June 7th, 1942.
The Japanese lost 322 aircraft and 3,500 men.
